HKY: Onward to Victory

Onward To Victory provides a look back at the history of Notre Dame Hockey and behind-the-scenes access to the Fighting Irish as they prepare for the Compton Family Ice Arena dedication game against rival Boston College.

Mike McNeill is in his fourth year as the Programming and Instruction Manager for the Compton Family Ice Arena, the new home of Fighting Irish Hockey.

McNeill took on this new role after previously holding the position of Director of Hockey Operations at the Ice Box Skating Rink in South Bend, Ind. from 2006-11. He volunteered as an assistant hockey coach for Notre Dame from 2006-10. McNeill also was a professional hockey player for 12 years in the National Hockey League and International Hockey League, as well as overseas in Europe.

McNeill graduated from Notre Dame in 1988 with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in Finance. He played four years of varsity hockey while at Notre Dame and has been heavily involved in youth coaching and developing the game of hockey at the grass roots level.

McNeill and his wife, Michele, have one son, Michael (11), and reside in South Bend.
