George West serves as an Associate Regional Director within the Athletics Advancement Offices at the University of Notre Dame. In this role, he works in partnership with athletic administrators, coaches and University Development personnel to develop and execute strategies that join together the philanthropic interests of donors with the priorities and needs of the athletics department. He focuses primarily in the Midwest region, where he is responsible for the University’s fundraising efforts for Athletics. Prior to being hired into the Athletics Advancement Office, West served as Game Day Coordinator within the University’s Game Day Operations Office. In this role he was charged with implementing and managing all aspects of the Game Day’s hospitality and communications efforts. He also worked with Enterprise, in the sales management department.
West graduated from Notre Dame in 2009 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Finance). In his time on campus, he was a wide receiver on the Fighting Irish football team, and was part of the first group of student-athletes to choose to enroll early at Notre Dame, in the spring of 2006.
Originally from Spencer, Oklahoma, West now resides in Granger, Indiana with his fiancée Sandra Garcia. The couple have two children, George III and Addilyn. In his spare time, West enjoys golfing, fishing, and traveling or spending time with his family.
