UND Names Two Associate SIDs in Athletic Department
Mike Enright and Bernie Cafarelli both promoted.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Mike Enright and Bernie Cafarelli both have been named associate sports information directors in the University of Notre Dame athletic department.

Enright, an assistant in the department since 1992, is a key day-to-day contact for football and is the primary media relations contact for men’s basketball.

Cafarelli, an assistant in the department since 1994, is the contact for women’s basketball, men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse, in addition to overseeing all the Irish Olympic sports.

Enright, a 1988 University of Connecticut graduate, is in his eighth season with the Notre Dame sports information operation. He also edits the football and men’s basketball media guides and game programs. The Norwich, Conn., native previously spent four years as assistant athletic director of athletic communications at Connecticut.

Cafarelli, a 1983 University of Notre Dame graduate, is in her sixth season with the Irish sports information department. She previously spent seven years as assistant director of marketing, promotions and media relations at Providence and three years as assistant sports information director at William & Mary. A Schenectady, N.Y., product, she originally worked in the Notre Dame sports information office for two years as a student — and later earned her master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University.
