Lisa Shall Hired As Assistant Strength And Conditioning Coach
Slippery Rock and Columbia graduate spent last year in same role at Princeton.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Lisa Shall has been named an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Notre Dame, it was announced last week by Irish head strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti. Shall will work with Notre Dame’s men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse, swimming and diving and cross country programs.

Prior to her hiring, Shall served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Princeton University for one year. While a member of the Tigers’ staff, she organized and administered all aspects of strength and conditioning for a wide variety of Princeton’s varsity sports. In addition to those duties, Shall worked specifically with the baseball, hockey, lacrosse, softball and soccer programs.

In August of 2000, Shall began a two-year stint as graduate assistant for strength and conditioning at Columbia University . Her duties with the Lions included design and implementation of strength training programs for the crew, lacrosse, cross country, softball, soccer, track and field and volleyball teams. She also instructed the school’s student athletes in proper exercise technique.

Shall spent the early part of ’00 as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Pittsburgh, where she assisted in the development of strength training programs for a multitude of varsity sports.

Shall earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University in May of ’00. While at the school, she served as a volunteer strength coach and personal trainer for student-athletes at The Rock.

In ’02, while at Columbia, Shall received a master’s degree in physical education. She has received Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) status from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is certified in First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross.
