Notre Dame Athletics Names New Equipment Manager
Pat Marcuccillo comes to South Bend after ten years at Stanford.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Pat Marcuccillo, equipment director the last 10 years at Stanford, has been named equipment manager at the University of Notre Dame.

At Stanford, Marcuccillo managed the equipment operation for the 32-sport Cardinal varsity program.

The Chicago, Ill., native previously served four years (1986-90) as equipment director at Columbia, three years (1983-86) as equipment director of the USFL Houston Gamblers and seven seasons (1976-83) as equipment director of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Marcuccillo spent the ’75 season as equipment manager at Northwestern, after previously working in that role for the WFL Chicago Fire and as an assistant with the NFL Chicago Bears.

He has worked annually with the East-West Shrine All-Star Game, serves on advisory boards for various equipment manufacturers and is a member of the College Athletic Safety Commission.

He’s a 1971 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in business.

Born March 23, 1947, Marcuccillo and his wife Lois are parents of a son, Mathew, and a daughter, Melissa.
