Friday's Baseball Opener Against Cleveland State To Start At 4:00 P.M.

April 29, 2005

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – With rain in the forecast for later in the evening, Notre Dame has pushed up the start time of Friday’s non-conference matchup with Cleveland State to 4:00 p.m. (EST/CDT) at Frank Eck Stadium. It will be the annual Irish “Turn Back The Clock Night”, with discounted ticket prices and concessions for all fans in attendance. Additionally, Notre Dame will sport old-time uniforms from the early part of the 20th century.

The Irish are scheduled to send junior lefthander Tom Thornton (Middleboro, Mass./Middleboro HS) to the mound for Friday’s opener with Cleveland State. Thornton is 5-4 this season with a 3.84 ERA and has won four of his last five decisions, going the distance in all four victories.
