Freeman Named Third Team All-ACC

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference office released its All-Conference women’s tennis teams Thursday afternoon. Junior Page Freeman earned Third Team All-ACC honors for her performance this season. Freeman is the lone member of the Fighting Irish squad to earn All-Conference honors this season. Its Freeman’s first All-ACC award.

Freeman played in the top two flights this season, earning a 13-10 overall record and was 6-7 in ACC play. She paired with Maria Olivia Castedo to qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship in Champagne, Illinois in late May.

During the regular season, Freeman earned a 7-8 mark at No. 1 singles and was 6-2 at the No. 2 flight. Freeman was named the ACC Player of the Week after her performance during the last week of February. During that week, Freeman earned a three-set victory over North Carolina’s 13th-ranked Elizabeth Scotty. She followed it up with a three-set win over Duke’s Georgia Drummy who was ranked 19th-nationally.
