Notre Dame, Ind. – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association, Fox Sports Net, RBK, the Detroit Red Wings and Perani’s Hockey World along with the Notre Dame hockey team are hosting a “Have Fun, Play Hockey” Clinic at the Joyce Center on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The free clinic is open to boys and girls, ages 5-11, who have pre-registered and have not played organized hockey.

All equipment, including skates and sticks will be provided to the clinic’s participants. Members of the Notre Dame hockey team will be on hand to mentor players on and off the ice.

“We are really excited to be able to offer more boys and girls an opportunity to experience the fun of hockey for the first time for free in these `Have Fun, Play Hockey’ Clinics,” says CCHA commissioner Tom Anastos.

“Our first two years of launching and celebrating `Hockey Day’ has been absolutely excellent and we expect the scale and profile of the celebration will continue to grow each year.”

This is the first time that the “Have Fun, Play Hockey” clinics have been held at the Joyce Center since the CCHA started the program in conjunction with its Hockey Day program.
