NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Freshman freestyler Frank Dyer was named BIG EAST Conference Swimmer of the Week, it was announced by the league Wednesday. Dyer won three individual races last week at Northwestern while adding a pair of relay victories against Cleveland State.
The Loudonville, N.Y., native touched first in the 100 free (45.76), 200 free (1:39.75) and 500 free (4:27.94) – while recording an NCAA B-cut – to help Notre Dame capture its first win over Northwestern in 20 years.
Dyer currently boasts the team’s top times on the season in the 100, 200 and 500 free.
