Irish Place Four On All-ACC Academic Team

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Four University of Notre Dame men’s soccer student-athletes were selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Academic Men’s Soccer Team for the 2019 season. The conference office officially released the latest edition of its all-academic squad on Tuesday.

Graduate student Felicien Dumas, senior midfielder Jack Casey, senior goalkeeper Duncan Turnbull and sophomore forward Jack Lynn were named to the 2019 ACC All-Academic Team. Casey was one of two ACC student athletes in 2019 to receive the recognition for the third time in his career, while Dumas, Turnbull and Lynn were honored for the first time.

The Irish have had at least four players earn the accolade in each season competing in the ACC, spanning back to the 2013 campaign.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
