At Notre Dame, Ling played from 1992-96, scoring 51 goals with 102 assists for 153 points in 142 games. A 5-11, 185-pound center for the Irish, Ling is Notre Dame’s leading scorer in CCHA play with 113 career points on 38 goals and 75 assists in 112 conference games. The 38 goals rank seventh all-time and the 75 assists are tops in league play. As a freshman, he was selected to the CCHA’s all-rookie team after scoring 14 goals with 26 assists for 40 points. He graduated from Notre Dame with a degree in psychology.
