The University of Notre Dame football team, now 8-1 on the season and ranked ninth in the latest edition of the BCS Standings, is enjoying is traditional day off today (Monday, Nov. 6) before beginning practice preparation for the team’s trip to Air Force this weekend.
Monday’s provide a perfect time for Irish fans to take one final look back at the team’s eighth victory of the season against North Carolina. Notre Dame is 8-1 for the first time since 2002 and has won six games in a row. In addition, the 19-point victory over UNC was the 11th game under Charlie Weis that the Irish have defeated their opponent by at least 19 points.
