NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame (9-2) meets Oregon State (10-1) in the 30th annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1, 2001 — and tickets for that game go on sale Monday, Dec. 4, to the general public.

Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased beginning 9:00 a.m. EST Monday at the Notre Dame Joyce Center second-floor ticket office (enter Gate 1). Phone orders also will be accepted by calling 219-631-7356, using VISA, MasterCard or American Express.

Notre Dame receives a minimum allotment of 15,000 tickets for the game in 73,471-seat Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

A 52,000-piece mailing offering bowl tickets previously went to all Notre Dame season-ticket holders, contributing alumni (those individuals who contributed $100 or more to the University in calendar year 1999), Monogram Club members and 3,000 University faculty and staff. Individuals from any of those groups returning their applications receive priority seating over general public sales.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s students from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 7, and Friday, Dec. 8, at the Joyce Center Gate 10 ticket windows. All students with identification are guaranteed access to tickets, and there will be no limit on tickets purchased by students. All tickets sold to students will be located in specific student sections at Sun Devil Stadium. Students must use cash or checks to purchase tickets at Gate 10 (no credit card orders there).

Any ticket questions should be directed to the Notre Dame ticket office at 219-631-7356.

This marks Notre Dame’s third appearance in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, following Irish bids there following the 1988 (Notre Dame defeated West Virginia 34-21 to claim a consensus national championship) and 1994 (Notre Dame fell 41-24 to Colorado) seasons.
