The University of Notre Dame football team made its first public appearance as a group today in New Orleans, La., for the 2007 Allstate Sugar Bowl. Most of the team members arrived on Wednesday, Dec. 27, but the team’s official welcome did not take place until Thursday.

The Irish held a brief team meeting, then headed to the West Bank section of New Orleans to spend the afternoon doing community service at the Catholic Charitie’s Haven of Hope. Und.com was there to provide full access for Irish fans…
