Notre Dame’s official athletic website, www.und.com, will be the place to follow the University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team, as it spends the next 10 days in Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. The Irish, who depart on Tuesday and will return to the U.S. on June 10, will take part in clinics and exhibition games, while also doing a good deal of sightseeing, including bus trips to Vienna, Austria, and to various historical and cultural sites in the Czech Republic. Updates from the road – including photo galleries and diaries – will be posted on und.com over the next two weeks.

After wrapping up its season and completing final exams, the Irish returned to their respective homes for the summer. They then will reconvene on Tuesday in New York to fly from John F. Kennedy Airport to Prague, where it will arrive on Wednesday morning (local time). Among the highlights of the trip will be working with local lacrosse players through the “Lacrosse Without Borders” program in an attempt to grow the game’s popularity. The Irish are slated to play a mixed team scrimmage on Saturday, June 4, and then take on a team of Czechs on Sunday.

The Irish will head to Vienna on Monday and Tuesday to tour the capital city of Austria. Among the Czech sights the team is scheduled to see are Karlstein Castle and the Terezin concentration camp. The squad will return to the United States on Friday, June 10 and head to their respective homes for the summer.
