Five Ways To Follow The Action From Sunday's ND-UNC Soccer Action - Including Free Text-Message Service

Aug. 19, 2007

Fans are reminded of five different ways to follow the action – audio, live stats, hotline, text messages and und.com press releases – from Sunday’s women’s soccer game between Notre Dame and North Carolina (1:00 p.m. EDT, at Alumni Field). Please note that information regarding any potential weather delays also will be passed along via these options:

• Live internet audio – a free play-by-play broadcast will be available, linked via the main page (or women’s soccer front page) at und.com (click on the gold tabs, titled Live Events or Upcoming Events).

• GameTracker live stats also are linked via the Upcoming Events tab on the women’s soccer page.

• The ND Sports Hotline will include a halftime update and a final recap of the game (plus info. on any weather delays, should they occur). The hotline number is (574) 631-3000, then choose option 4 and then option 2 for women’s soccer updates. (Note that the hotline menu will be updated for the 2007 fall season by Sunday morning).

• Fans can sign up for free Irish Alert text messages (sent to cellphones or other mobile devices) – which will include text updates sent several times during Sunday’s game. The quick signup can be made via links on und.com (see right sidebar on women’s soccer page, direct link is: http://my.textcaster.com/ServePopup.aspx?id=535). Fans may select the specific ND sports text updates that they would like to receive through the Irish Alert system.

• A final wrapup of the game will be posted on und.com later Sunday (any delay info. also would be posted on und.com ASAP).
