Five-star signee Cassandre Prosper to enroll early

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame’s high-powered offense just got even stronger.

On Monday, five-star signee Cassandre Prosper announced that she will enroll early at Notre Dame, making her eligible to compete upon the start of the spring semester. Prosper committed to the Irish on Nov. 12.

“I can’t wait to start with my teammates and new coaches,” Prosper said in an Instagram video. “I’m so blessed to be a part of this environment and community. I’m ready for this new chapter!”

Prosper hails from Montreal, Canada, attends Cairine Wilson Secondary School, and plays for Capital Courts Academy. She is the No. 16 overall recruit per the ESPN HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings, making her one of 24 five-star prospects in the nation. The Canadian product was the Finals MVP for the 2022 Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association Final 8 High School Championships last March after posting 33 points, 15 rebounds and two assists. She was also the season’s league MVP and earned academic honors as well.

“We are thrilled about adding five-star guard and Canadian superstar Cassandre Prosper to our Notre Dame family,” Ivey said. “She is an explosive, dynamic guard with an incredible motor and skill set that is unmatched.  Her international experience, athleticism, and scorer’s mentality will be an immediate asset to our program.  Words can’t describe the excitement that I have for our future.”

While Prosper stands at 6-2, she is a game-changing shooter as well. Per the OBSA website, Prosper averaged 23.2 points, 13.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game over 10 contests last year. She shot 41.2 percent from the floor and hit 10 three-pointers as well.

Prosper is just the second recruit to ever make the early move to South Bend, joining current Notre Dame guard Olivia Miles.
