The Irish, led by 18th-year head coach Muffet McGraw and senior All-America forward Jacqueline Batteast, will have seven games televised on either a national or regional basis this season.

Five More Televised Games Added To Irish Women's Basketball Schedule

Oct. 28, 2004

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame women’s basketball team will play five more games on national or regional television this season, it was announced Thursday at the BIG EAST Conference Women’s Basketball Media Day in Newark, N.J. Those five games are added to a pair of ESPN2 contests the Irish will play in this season — Jan. 16 vs. Purdue in the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge and Jan. 30 at Connecticut.

Notre Dame will have three of its games shown nationally on College Sports Television (CSTV) as part of that network’s new partnership with the BIG EAST. Two of those CSTV broadcasts — Dec. 2 vs. Michigan State and Jan. 12 vs. Connecticut — will originate from the Joyce Center, with the Feb. 15 matchup at Boston College also slated for the CSTV airwaves. As part of this arrangement, the tipoff time for the UConn game has been moved back one hour to 8 p.m. (ET).

In addition, the Irish will make two appearances on the BIG EAST syndicated television package this season. Notre Dame’s contest at Villanova, which was originally slated for Jan. 8, has been moved to Jan. 9 and will be shown on BETV beginning at 2 p.m. (ET). The Irish also will play host to Rutgers on Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. (ET), also on BETV. Among those outlets carrying both of Notre Dame’s BIG EAST TV games is Comcast SportsNet Chicago, which will air the contests on a same-day delayed basis at 4 p.m. (CT).
