NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Deanna Gumpf and the Notre Dame softball program announced this morning, Dec. 14, that it will be hosting its annual winter clinic dedicated to hitting, pitching and catching. The clinic will run from Saturday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Jan. 28 for aspiring softball players from the ages of 7-18. On Saturday there will be two hitting sessions, two pitching sessions and a catching session. Sunday’s clinic will feature one hitting session and two pitching sessions. All sessions will take place in the Loftus Field House, located behind the Joyce Center and Rolfs Recreation Center.

The hitting clinic will cost $65 per three-hour session with a 75-person limit per session. The hitting session will be run by guest speaker Larry Mays. Mays is a well-respected coach on the ASA Gordon’s Panthers and the United States Olympic Development team.

The pitching clinic will be $50 per two-hour session with a 25-person limit per session and is taught by Coach Gumpf.

The catching clinic runs $50 per two-hour session with a 50-person limit per session and is instructed by assistant coach Kris Ganeff.
