NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Season and individual tickets now are on sale for the 2010 Notre Dame men’s soccer season. The Fighting Irish will play nine regular season matches at Alumni Stadium, which is one of the top collegiate soccer facilities in the country.

A season pass is $30 for adults and $25 for youth (21 and under)/seniors (55 and older). Kids three years of age and younger are free for all regular season games. A fan pack, which includes four season passes, is $70.

Individual game tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth/seniors. Groups of 20-or-more are half price.

There is free admission for Notre Dame/Saint Mary’s/Holy Cross students with a valid student ID. Notre Dame faculty and staff also will receive free admission for regular season matches with a current Notre Dame ID. Those offers are void when capacity is reached.

Tickets can also be purchased at Alumni Stadium on gamedays.

New for the 2010 season — fans are invited to be a part of the new unofficial Notre Dame soccer supporters’ group, The Rakes of Mallow. This student-based group will attend all Fighting Irish men’s and women’s home matches this season and is aiming to create a special home pitch atmosphere unlike any other in college soccer. For all Notre Dame home soccer matches, fans are encouraged to park in the C1 lot (the main lot located south of Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center and just steps away from the main entrance to Alumni Stadium).

On Saturday, August 21, the Notre Dame men’s and women’s soccer teams will host the `Meet the Team Barbeque’ at old Alumni Field. The event features free food courtesy of Famous Dave’s, face painting, t-shirt painting, autographs, pick-up games with the student-athletes and tours of the soccer facilities will be given by the student-athletes. The festivities will last from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (ET).

The Fighting Irish will play host to UIC in an exhibition match on Monday, August 23. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m. (ET). The contest is free to the public, yet donations for Grassroot Soccer will be accepted at the gate. Grassroot Soccer is an international AIDS awareness and education organization that reaches youth in Africa through soccer clinics. Tommy Clark, the son of Notre Dame head coach Bobby Clark, is the founder and CEO of the organization.

The Irish begin the regular season on Sept. 3 versus UCLA in Bloomington, Ind. in the opening contest of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.

Notre Dame opens its regular-season home slate against California at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Sept. 5. That match is part of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic and is `Pack the House Night’ at Alumni Stadium. The promotional giveaway for that game will be 16 oz. Notre Dame soccer glasses.

The Fighting Irish will play host to the ninth annual Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament on Sept. 10 and 12. Indiana and Cal Poly will get things underway on Friday, Sept. 10, while Notre Dame will take on Drake, a 2009 NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist, in the second match of the evening. Day two features Indiana facing Drake and the Irish squaring off with Cal Poly.

Notre Dame’s 2010 home schedule also features a showdown with Big Ten Conference foe Michigan State (Sept. 19) and BIG EAST clashes with St. John’s (Sept. 25), Providence (Oct. 3), Marquette (Oct. 13), Pittsburgh (Oct. 27) and Georgetown (Oct. 30).

Last season, Notre Dame posted an 11-8-4 record the Irish were runners-up in the BIG EAST Blue Division with an 8-3 mark. The Fighting Irish also were finalists at the BIG EAST Championship. Notre Dame defeated Green Bay, 2-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling at Northwestern, 3-1, in the second round. That marked Notre Dame’s ninth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
