Round One Results Get Acrobat Reader

STATESBORO, Ga. – Freshman John Felitto carded an even-par 72 to pace the Notre Dame men’s golf team during Friday’s opening round of competition in the Schenkel Invitational at Georgia Southern.

As a team, the Irish carded a 297 (+9), placing Notre Dame in 13th place after 18 holes of play. College of Charleston leads the field with its 279 (-9) followed closely by the host Eagles at 280 (-8).

About the Course

Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Georgia, will play as a 6,962-yard par-72 course for this event, leaving ample opportunities for low scores. The club was established in 1947 and has hosted the Schenkel Invitational since its 1971 debut.
