NOTRE DAME, Ind. – University of Notre Dame football fans can use their smartphones to enhance their access at the April 12 Blue-Gold final spring football game at Notre Dame Stadium.

Fans can register on irish.expapp.com to receive a notification for Blue-Gold upgrades and fan experiences that include:

— An Ultimate VIP package that includes a ticket for the Saturday morning brunch with the Irish football team, reserved parking for the game, a pre-game sideline pass and a reserved seat in the gold chair-back section.

— A seat in the gold reserved section, plus a chance to watch Irish coach Brian Kelly’s postgame press conference.

— A pregame tour of the Notre Dame locker room, as well as a chance to touch the “Play Like A Champion Today” sign that the Irish players hit on their way to the field.

Other enhancements available include press box media level seating, front row seating in Notre Dame Stadium (section 25), other gold section seating near midfield, pre-game sideline passes and post-game field access.

The Notre Dame athletics department launched a program during the recently-concluded basketball and hockey seasons that enabled fans to upgrade seat locations and purchase unique fan experiences at Fighting Irish home games using their smartphones at Purcell Pavilion and at the Compton Family Ice Arena. Notre Dame has partnered with Experience, an Atlanta-based company, to offer the seat upgrade and fan experience technology that allows fans to download an application to their phones and register for these unique opportunities.

“Our department continues to look for ways to enhance the game day experience for our fans at many of our events,” says Brian Pracht, assistant athletics director for marketing. “The program to date has been extremely well-received, and it has proven to be very simple and convenient for fans to use with their smartphones.

“We look forward to the Blue-Gold experience, as well as continuing our partnership with Experience to offer upgrades during home football, basketball, hockey and potentially other events in 2014-15.”

Please note that even if you registered for the upgrade program during the basketball or hockey season this past winter, you must register again for the Blue-Gold options.

The seat upgrades are not substitutes for a game ticket and purchase of a Blue-Gold game ticket is required for entrance to Notre Dame Stadium.
