Women's Rowing Indoor Facility

Notre Dame rowing moved into its new indoor training center, located in the North Dome of the Joyce Center, prior to the start of the 2013-14 season.

The indoor facility, which was formerly the Walter Langford Fencing Gymnasium, is the first full service, permanent indoor erg facility that Irish rowing has ever had.

Featuring more than 40 erg machines, a selection of stationary bicycles and other equipment, the indoor training space has become a major asset to the Notre Dame program when weather conditions preclude the team from on-the-water workouts. The facility also features office space for team meetings and other instructional activities.

In transitioning to the new facility the theming of the indoor training area was specifically tailored to celebrate the tradition and accomplishments of the Notre Dame rowing program, which won 10 consecutive BIG EAST Conference Championships from 2004-13. Along with a listing of the team’s conference championship regatta victories, each of the program’s past All-America rowers and Notre Dame’s all-time NCAA Championship appearances also adorn the walls of the facility.
