ESPN College Game Day To Return To Purcell Pavilion

ESPN’s College Game Day covered by State Farm will return to Purcell Pavilion on Feb. 6, 2016. The college basketball preview show will broadcast live on Notre Dame’s home court from 11 a.m. – Noon ET, then return at 6 p.m. leading up to the Atlantic Coast Conference clash between the Fighting Irish and North Carolina Tar Heels at 7 p.m.

ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. Dan Shulman, Bilas and reporter Shannon Spake will have the call of the North Carolina-Notre Dame game.

Door will open for fans to fill the stands for the show at 9 a.m. The broadcast crew will be doing a series of live broadcasts on ESPN’s SportsCenter all morning before the full show begins at 11 a.m.

This will be the third appearance for ESPN’s college basketball preview show at Purcell Pavilion. The show was in the building on Jan. 24, 2009, for a Notre Dame – Connecticut matchup (a 69-61 victory for the Huskies) and a 104-101 five overtime victory for the Irish over Louisville on Feb. 9, 2013. That game is the longest played in both Notre Dame and BIG EAST Conference history.
