ELITE EIGHT-MEMBER CLASS SET TO BE HONORED ON SENIOR DAY – The top-ranked Notre Dame women’s soccer team (12-0-0, 5-0-0 BIG EAST) will conclude its five-game homestand with a rare early-October Senior Day, when the Irish face Rutgers on Sunday, Oct. 8, at Alumni Field … the seniors have yet to be outshot in a game during their four years with the Irish while owning the second-best career winning percentage (.909; 79-7-2) in Notre Dame women’s soccer history … North Carolina is the only team, out of 310 in Division I, with a current senior class that has totaled more career victories (83-3-3) … ND owns the second-longest scoring streak (48 games) in the program’s history, with a 181-23 scoring margin in the streak … the Irish own the fourth-longest home unbeaten streak (35; 34-0-1, with 26 straight wins) in Division I women’s soccer history and have not lost a home game to a BIG EAST opponent since the middle of the 1995 season (69-0-1).
