Notre Dame, Ind. – Elisa Angeles, who joined the strength and conditioning staff in ’06 as an assistant coach for the department, has been promoted to the role of assistant director of strength and conditioning. Angeles current title entails developing training programs to assist in the athletic development for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, diving and women’s cross country athletes.

Angeles received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University in exercise science/sports medicine.

Upon receiving her degree she went on to work for Iowa State as a graduate assistant coach, before being promoted to the full time assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Olympic sports programs.

Angeles has also earned the certifications as a strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a strength and conditioning coach certified with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and as a level I club coach with USA Weightlifting.
