Dunleavy Heads To ITA Midwest Regional Singles Quarterfinals

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A University of Notre Dame women’s tennis freshman remains in contention after play concluded Sunday at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at Michigan’s Varsity Tennis Center, as Caroline Dunleavy advanced to the singles quarterfinals.

In a teammate matchup in the Round of 16, Dunleavy got the better of junior Rachel Chong, winning 7-6, 6-2 to move into Monday’s quarterfinal.

In Notre Dame’s other singles matches, senior Allison Miller fell to Northwestern’s Rheeya Doshi in three sets, while freshman Cameron Corse fell to Illinois’ Asuka Kawai.

Both of Notre Dame’s doubles teams that began the day also fell in the quarterfinal round.

The singles quarterfinal round will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET Monday, followed by the semifinal round at 1:30 p.m. ET.
