Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame women’s lacrosse freshman, Crysti Foote (Suffern, N.Y.) has been selected as womenslacrosse.com’s Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 27th.
Foote helped the Irish to three consecutive wins on the week by scoring eight goals and adding six assists for 14 points in the three games. She added three ground balls, one caused turnover and two draw controls on the week.
The freshman from Suffern, N.Y., started the week with her second consecutive six-point game as she scored three goals and three assists in Notre Dame’s 18-6 win over Davidson on April 22.
Four days later, on April 26 versus Northwestern, Foote scored three more goals and chipped in two assists for five points in the game in a 13-9 win over the Wildcats.
The following day, Sunday, April 27, Foote closed the week with two goals and one assist in Notre Dame’s 13-6 BIG EAST win over Rutgers. Her three points gave her 14 points in six BIG EAST contests on the year.
Foote ranks third on the Irish in scoring with 23 goals and 11 assists for 34 points. She has scored her 23 goals on 44 shots for an impressive .523 shooting percentage.
In her last seven games, Foote has recorded 18 goals and seven assists for 25 points. She also had a six-point game versus Georgetown (April 19). In that game, she had four goals and two assists.
