Crysti Foote And Becky Ranck Selected To NCAA All-Tournament Team

Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team saw two if its players selected to the 2006 NCAA all-tournament team following the May 28th championship game won by Northwestern by a 7-4 score versus Dartmouth.

Selected to the team were first team All-American Crysti Foote (Sr., Suffern, N.Y.) and defender Becky Ranck (So., Radnor, Pa.) for their play in Notre Dame’s 14-8 loss to Dartmouth in the semifinal game on Friday, May 26 at Boston University’s Nickerson Field.

Foote led the Irish with three goals and two assists to close out her brilliant Notre Dame career. Her five-point game helped her finish the season as the nation’s top goal scorer (74) and point producer with 114 in 19 games.

Ranck, who turned in a strong year for the Irish all season on defense, grabbed one ground ball, had two draw controls and two caused turnovers in the game. She finished the year as Notre Dame’s team leader with 31 caused turnovers, the fourth-best single season total in the 10-year history of the program.
