Conor Doyle has four hat tricks in Notre Dame's last five games.

Conor Doyle Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

May 4, 2015

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – For the second time this year, Notre Dame men’s lacrosse senior attackman Conor Doyle (Towson, Maryland) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Offensive player of the week. Doyle scored three times and added five assists for eight points in Notre Dame’s 17-8 victory at No. 18 Army West Point on Saturday to close out the regular season.

The five assists and eight points were both career highs for Doyle, eclipsing the four assists and seven points against Duke on April 4 that also earned him the league’s weekly league honor – which he shared with Joe Sankey of North Carolina. His hat trick against the Black Knights marked his fourth hat trick in the past five games for Notre Dame and his fifth on the season. A member of the 2015 All-ACC team, Doyle now boasts 24 goals and 17 assists for 41 points on the campaign, ranking either second or third for Notre Dame in all three categories.

Doyle is one of three Notre Dame players to earn ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors this year, joining Mikey Wynne (March 16) and Matt Kavanagh (April 20).

The Irish stand at 10-2 on the season and hold the number one seed for the NCAA championship. Notre Dame will open NCAA play at 5 p.m. EDT on Saturday at Arlotta Stadium by playing host to the winner of a Wednesday play-in game between Towson and High Point.
