Compton Family Ice Arena is proud to offer the Chicago Blackhawks Little Blackhawks Learn to Play Program! This program is for kids age 5-9 who want to learn the game of hockey and help get families involved in youth hockey as well. Learning to play hockey is more than just learning a game. It is more than skating, passing and stick-handling. Hockey is about responsibility, respect and teamwork. Each participant will receive a full set of hockey equipment, age appropriate instruction, and and coaching from USA Hockey certified staff here at Compton.
Classes will be on Tuesday, and will being March 19 and run through May 14. Classes for 5-6 year olds will be from 5:30-6:15 p.m., and ages 7-9 from 6:15-7 p.m.
Please note that this program is for first timers only. If you participated in Little Blackhawks last year or you have an already registered USA Hockey number, you cannot enroll this year. It is also highly recommended you have completed a Learn to Skate program as well.
