Competition Heats Up At Clover Cup

March 17, 2017

MESA, Ariz. – The Fighting Irish women’s golf team got off to a strong start at the 2017 Clover Cup on the back of a five-under par round (67) from sophomore Isabella DiLisio to end the first day of action in a tie for fifth-place at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

DiLisio’s round etches her name in the Notre Dame record book as her opening loop is just the seventh round of 67 or better in program history — she is only Fighting Irish student-athlete to card two of those rounds.

As a team, Notre Dame fired an opening round 292 (+4) and sits in great position entering the second day of play.

Saturday’s second round will begin with a split-tee start at 8:00 AM (PT). You can follow all the action on birdiefire.com.

Leading the Irish Lineup

As previously mentioned, DiLisio’s round of 67 (-5) puts her in rare air among our program’s great student-athletes.
