Colin Falls Garners BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Honors For Third Time

Notre Dame, Ind. – For the third time this season, Colin Falls (Park Ridge, Ill.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 19.5 points and 4.5 assists in Notre Dame’s two victories last week.

In the 81-78 win over Providence, Falls finished with 16 points and dished off five assists as he played all 40 minutes of the contest. In the 76-64 road win at Cincinnati, he tallied a game-high 23 points, connecting on 6-11 from the field and 5-8 from three-point range.

Against the Bearcats, Falls became Notre Dame’s career three-point leader with 305 three-point field goals.

The senior captain has scored in double figures in nine straight games and in 18 games overall. He has netted 20-plus points in seven contests and in four of the last six games.

Falls became the 46th player in Notre Dame history to score 1,000 points, and in 115 career outings, has scored 1,281 points for an 11.1 scoring average. In the 115 games that he has played, he has made 84 career starts.

Jeff Green of Georgetown was named the league’s Player of the Week, while Connecticut’s Jerome Dyson was honored as the conference’s top rookie.

Joining Falls on the Honor Roll team were Sammy Mejia (DePaul), Herbert Hill (Providence), Lamont Hamilton (St. John’s) and Demetris Nichols (Syracuse).
