Former Notre Dame lacrosse captain Will DeRiso joins head coach Kevin Corrigan[apos]s staff this season. DeRiso, a standout for the Irish from 1994-97, will work specifically with the attack and midfield units.

A two-year starter at attack, the Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., native finished his career with 35 goals and 37 assists for 72 points, placing him 19th on the all-time career scoring list. He was a member of Irish teams which won four consecutive GWLL championships and made four NCAA tournament appearances.

DeRiso was a member of the 1995 squad which upset fifth-seeded Duke in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Durham, N.C. The win was the first NCAA tournament victory in the program[apos]s history and marked the first and only victory by a team from the West region.

Born May 26, 1975, DeRiso received a degree in finance from the College of Business in 1997. Prior to coming to the University, and since his graduation, he worked as a financial analyst for Bank of America in Chicago.
