Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports (Volleyball &Women's Lacrosse)
Michelle Truncali joined the University of Notre Dame Olympic Strength and Conditioning Staff in July 2018. She currently oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning for the women’s Lacrosse and volleyball programs, along with serving as the Coordinator of the Internship Program.
Before coming to Notre Dame, Truncali was the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports at Marshall University. At Marshall, she was responsible for the strength and conditioning of the women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and tennis programs.
Prior to Marshall, Truncali spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Belmont University, where she was in charge of the women’s soccer, softball, and men’s golf programs. In 2016, Truncali spent the summer working at UNC Chapel Hill as a Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach. She also completed internships at UCONN, Northeastern University and Quinnipiac University, along with serving as Student Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Endicott College.
A native of Connecticut, Truncali earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology from Endicott College, and her Master of Science in Sport Administration from Belmont University. Truncali is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), and Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR).
