Bio

Kerri Casper enters her first season as director of women’s soccer operations after joining the Irish women’s soccer staff in July 2017. 

Casper transitioned to the women’s soccer staff after serving as program coordinator in Notre Dame’s Student Welfare and Development Department, where she facilitated the Rosenthal Leadership Academy, the OSCARS, NDCA and Summer Bridge Orientation.

Casper, who played soccer at Pennsylvania State from 2001-02, helped guide the Nittany Lions to Big 10 regular-season and tournament championships as well as appearances in the Elite Eight (2001) and Final Four (2002). 

The former midfielder spent three seasons as varsity women’s soccer head coach in the Bald Eagle Area School District before moving to the South Bend area and becoming assistant women’s soccer coach at Penn High School, going undefeated and winning the state championship in 2016. During her stint at Penn, Casper also served as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Saint Mary’s College for one season. 

Casper, who has five years of teaching experience, received her bachelor’s degree in special education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and currently is pursuing her Master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Kansas. Casper graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in crime, law and justice.

Hailing from Ridgewood, N.J., Casper currently resides in Granger with her husband Michael.
