Kaitlin Sweeney
Bio

Kaitlin Sweeney is in her fifth year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Notre Dame. She is responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for the softball, volleyball, and men’s swimming teams at the University as well as coordinating the olympic sports strength & conditioning internship program.

Prior to arriving at Notre Dame, Sweeney spent two and a half years at Dartmouth College as the head of the football strength and conditioning program, and as an assistant for the Olympic Sports programs offered at the University. Sweeney was a graduate assistant at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and completed internships at Georgia Tech, Cornell University, and Athlete’s Performance in Tempe, Ariz. Sweeney is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) and National Strength Coaches Association (CSCS).

Sweeney achieved her Bachelor’s Degree from Ithaca College in 2006, and was a member of their women’s soccer team during her undergraduate years. She also earned her Master’s Degree in human performance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2008.
