Jenny Borg Staff

In her current role, Jenny serves as an Advisor to the Athletic Director and helps manage all aspects of the AD’s office. She assists in advising on and leading key strategic initiatives and is part of the senior leadership team in helping manage and influence all aspects of the department. She also serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Culture & Engagement and oversees internal units focused on Operational Effectiveness and Culture & Engagement.

Previous to this role in Athletics, Borg served as Assistant Director of Special Projects for 4 years where she provided direct administrative support to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Athletic Administration and managed various key initiatives and special projects on behalf of the VP/Director of Athletics office.

Before returning to Athletics, Jenny spent almost two years on campus serving as a Human Resources Consultant (2013-14). In this campus role she served as a Consultant to Student Affairs, University Relations, First Year Studies, Enrollment and the Office of Public Affairs and Communications (liaising with over 500 employees) in an effort to assist in identifying Human Resources matters and creative solutions to best support their unique business goals and objectives. She was also responsible for identifying and implementing team building, educational and professional development opportunities tailored to their specific department needs.

Prior to working in HR on campus, Borg spent two years as an assistant athletics director for internal operations (2011-13) and served as the sport administrator for women’s tennis from 2009-13. Borg joined the Notre Dame athletics department staff in 2006 as an employment coordinator, and was promoted to supervisor of employee services in 2007. In that role, she was responsible for managing the employment process for all athletic department employees. She also served as the liaison with the University’s department of human resources, payroll office, and General Counsel’s office on policy and personnel issues.

In 2022, Jenny received a University of Notre Dame Presidential Leadership Award recognizing outstanding servant leadership to the University.

Borg is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in December 2001 with a Bachelors degree in communications. After graduation, she worked for the West Michigan Whitecaps (Class-A Midwest League baseball) and then did a one-year internship in the Notre Dame Athletics Ticket Office. Prior to returning to Notre Dame, Borg spent two and a half years at Virginia Tech, serving as a ticket office coordinator in the athletic department. While at Virginia Tech, Borg also completed her Masters degree in education.
