Jeff Faine 2018-19 Monogram Club Staff

Jeff Faine, a former Fighting Irish All-America center and three-time Monogram winner, began a four-year term on the Monogram Club Board of Directors in the fall of 2016. Faine graduated from Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters in May of 2003 with a degree in film, television and theatre.

As a senior in 2002, Faine copped first-team All-America honors from The Sporting News and ESPN.com. Faine also earned the Nick Pietrosante Award, which is given to the Irish player who best exemplifies courage, loyalty, teamwork, dedication and pride as voted by his teammates. The Sanford, Florida native started in all 35 games he played in during his Notre Dame career.

Faine’s 10-year NFL career began when the Cleveland Browns selected him in the first round (21st overall selection) of the 2003 NFL Draft. Following three seasons in Cleveland, Faine was traded to the New Orleans Saints where he was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2007. He went on to play four seasons (2008-11) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before finishing his career in 2012 with the Cincinnati Bengals. Faine played in 125 NFL games and started all but one of those contests.

In 2009, Faine founded The Faine House in partnership with the Children’s Home Society of Florida, which is a transition home for young adults that age out of foster care.

Faine, the featured alumni speaker at the Monogram Club’s spring 2016 Monogram Jacket Ceremony, currently is a managing partner at Iron Lion Financial. Faine is the CEO of Iron Lion Insurance, which is a retail insurance agency that specializes in commercial P&C and sophisticated life insurance strategies.

Faine and his wife, Brittnie, have a son, Kei. Faine and his family reside in Chicago, Illinois.
