Bernard [quote]B.J.[quote] Linnenbrink has joined the University of Notre Dame track and field programs as the team[apos]s new throws coach. Linnenbrink will take over both the men[apos]s and women[apos]s throws group this season, which starts Friday, Jan. 17, at the Central Michigan Opener in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

Linnenbrink was an NCAA and USATF indoor championship qualifier in the weight throw in 2002 at Florida State while setting the school record. He also finished up as the number two all-time hammer thrower in Florida State history. Linnenbrink ended up earning all-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in [apos]02 as well.


Before his two-year stint at FSU, Linnenbrink dominated at the junior college level, earning two NJCAA All-American awards at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan. In his two years at Johnson, Linnenbrink collected seven all-jayhawk east conference awards.


Linnenbrink graduated from Florida State in 2002 with a bachelor of science in physical education degree.
