Coach Brown Looking for 200th Victory

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — With a career record of 199-68 at Notre Dame, coach Debbie Brown could win number 200 at this Thursday’s volleyball match against Oral Roberts, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Joyce Center Arena.

Brown, who began coaching at Notre Dame in 1991 after a six-year stint at her alma mater Arizona State, has coached the Irish to six consecutive NCAA tournament appearances as well as seven conference titles. For her efforts, she had been named BIG EAST Coach of the Year (1995), Midwest Collegiate Conference Coach (1991-94) and region/district coach of the year in 1986, 1993-95 and 1997).

The game is also being broadcast on a tape-delay basis on WHME-TV 46 with Bob Nagle and Dennis Brown making the call. The game will be shown on Saturday, October 31 at 11 p.m. EST on WHME and will be available on satellite (Galaxy 6, transponder 15) on Sunday, November 1 at 3:30 a.m.
