Citron/Miles Named to 2021 Jordan Brand Classic

Adds to list of Irish alumnae

BEAVERTON, Ore. – The Jordan Brand Classic (JBC), now in its 7th year on the women’s side, announced over the weekend its 2021 roster of high school senior basketball players. Notre Dame’s own Sonia Citron and Olivia Miles continued the Irish legacy in the JBC by both being added to this year’s elite 2021 roster.

The JBC is a celebration of the next generation of basketball stars and features the top high school talent in the country annually. While no game will be played in 2021 due to the global pandemic, the Jordan Brand still recognizes the high school athletes who have remained dedicated to the game and deserve recognition for their talent.

Irish who have been invited to the JBC in the past include Sam Brunelle, Katlyn Gilbert, Marina Mabrey, Nat Marshall, Arike Ogunbowale, Anaya Peoples, Destinee Walker, Jackie Young, plus incoming transfer Maya Dodson.

Citron has been on quite the roll as of late, picking up both WBCA All-America and McDonald’s All-America honors, plus being selected for the USA U19 World Cup team.

Meanwhile, Miles has simply been enjoying her collegiate headstart. A reminder that the early enrollee made waves this past winter when she averaged 10.5 points and 4.8 assists over the last four games of the season.
