Notre Dame, Ind. – Chris Sandeen has been named assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Notre Dame. Sandeen has returns to Notre Dame after previously working as a strength and conditioning intern from 2006-07.

Sandeen has spent the last year working as an assistant strength coach for the Cincinnati Bengals, where he implemented all lifting and conditioning sessions.

From 2003-06, Sandeen worked as a graduate assistant strength coach at Central Michigan University where he helped supervise the internship program for future strength coaches.

Sandeen also served as a strength coach with the Milwaukee Brewers from 2002-03. He also has worked at Arizona State University (’02-’03) and the Athletes Performance Institute (2001) in Tempe, Ariz. . He has been a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association for the past seven years.

Sandeen received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Arizona State, and his master’s degree in physical education from Central Michigan University.

He also has received a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certificate
