Chris Klieman To Serve As A Guest Speaker At The 2018 Notre Dame Coaches Clinic

NOTRE DAME, Indiana – Chris Klieman, head coach of three-time Football Championship Subdivision National Champion North Dakota State, will be one of the featured guest speakers at the 2018 University of Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic on March 22-24. Brian Kelly, Dick Corbett Head Football Coach at the University of Notre Dame, and all of his assistant coaches, as well as other featured guest speakers to be announced in the near future, will give presentations at the clinic.

Klieman, has won four conference championships and three national championships in his first four years as the Bison head coach, has a 54-6 record at NDSU while finishing atop the Missouri Valley Football Conference all four years.

Klieman has been part of all six FCS national championship teams in his seven years since coming to NDSU in 2011 as the defensive backs coach. He was the defensive coordinator in 2012 and 2013 and was elevated to head coach in 2014.

North Dakota State is 33-5 against FCS top 25 teams under Klieman. NDSU has had 21 players named to All-America teams, including Buck Buchanan Award-winning defensive end Kyle Emanuel, and five CoSIDA Academic All-America® selections.

A three-time finalist for the STATS FCS Eddie Robinson Award presented to the FCS Coach of the Year, Klieman came to NDSU following a nine-year stay at Northern Iowa where he was the defensive coordinator, co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach from 2006-10 under head coach Mark Farley and 1991-93 under head coach Terry Allen.

Coaches and participants interested in receiving advanced football instruction from the Notre Dame coaching staff and featured guest speakers are welcome to attend.

All 10 Notre Dame assistant coaches will provide a drill-based presentation followed by chalk-talk sessions, which will give attendees an excellent opportunity to become familiar with various coaching techniques and offer professional development with other coaches and participants.

In addition to various presentations, participants will get an exclusive look at the 2018 Irish football team as the squad practices twice during the clinic, unique access to Notre Dame’s Pro Day, coaches’ socials both Thursday and Friday evenings, a two-hour strength & conditioning clinic and access to Notre Dame Stadium, including the South Club for an exclusive event.

Vendors and exhibitors from around the country will also showcase football-related products.

Registration is now available here. The clinic is $70 per individual coach or $50 per coach for groups of at least six coaches who pre-register. Walk-up registration is $80.
