From the archives: IRISH EXTRA: Compton Family Ice Arena Draws Raves from the Chicago Blackhawks
In what is becoming an annual tradition, the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks announced on Monday that they will return to the Compton Family Ice Arena in September to open their 2015-16 training camp.
The Blackhawks will take to Notre Dame’s home ice Sept. 18-20. It is the third-consecutive year that the club has spent a preseason weekend in South Bend. The team will return to Chicago on Sept. 22 for its annual Blackhawks Training Camp Festival at the United Center.
A complete camp schedule, along with ticket information for the open practices and scrimmages at Compton Family Ice Arena, will be announced at a later date.
