If you’re planning to attend the Notre Dame-Villanova men’s basketball game on Saturday, don’t be too quick to leave your seats at halftime.
New Irish football coach Charlie Weis will be introduced and make some brief remarks at the start of the halftime segment. It will mark his official in-person introduction to Irish fans and his first public appearance in South Bend since the Dec. 13, 2004, press conference announcing his hiring.
Tip-off is at noon EST Saturday at the Joyce Center. Several hundred tickets remain on sale, most of them upper-arena seats at $11 each (call the ticket office at 574-631-7356). Joyce Center Gate 10 ticket windows open at 9:00 a.m. EST Saturday.
