SAN DIEGO — The University of Notre Dame baseball team has seen its schedule altered for the Tony Gwynn Classic, as tournament organizers have shifted all the action up by one day due to the potential for rain in the San Diego area on Sunday, February 26.

In addition, the bracket format has been scrapped and all seven teams will now play a set schedule. Notre Dame will now open the Tony Gwynn Classic on Thursday, February 23, against UC Irvine at San Diego State’s Tony Gwynn Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 9 p.m ET/6 p.m. PT.

Friday, the Irish will face co-host San Diego at USD’s Fowler Park. The game is slated for 9 p.m ET/6 p.m. PT.

Notre Dame’s final game will be against the other co-host, San Diego State, at Tony Gwynn Stadium, also at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

All three games can be heard live on WatchND and 103.1 FM in the South Bend area.
