Senior Allison Casareto will compete on both the 1- and 3-meter boards at the NCAA meet next weekend.

Casareto To Compete On 1- And 3-Meter Boards At NCAAs

March 13, 2015

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Just one day after punching her ticket to the 2015 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships by placing eighth on the 3-meter board, University of Notre Dame senior women’s diver Allison Casareto locked up her spot in the 1-meter discipline as well by claiming ninth at the NCAA Zone C meet on the campus of Ohio State University.

Despite placing ninth and thus not automatically qualifying for NCAAs, Casareto will still be able to compete on both boards due to her automatically qualifying on the 3-meter board and placing in the top 12 in the 1-meter discipline.

The La Habra Heights, California native scored 586.70 points to secure her ninth-place finish.

Teammate Lindsey Streepey joined Casareto in the 1-meter finals, placing 16th with 562.95 points.

Junior Emma Gaboury claimed 21st while freshman Annie Crea took 31st to wrap up Notre Dame’s second at zones.

The Irish will wrap up their time at the NCAA Zone C meet Saturday with the platform dive.
