NATIONAL SOCCER COACHING SEMINAR WEBSITE

NOTRE DAME, Ind. ââ’¬” A pair of guest clinicians with strong collegiate and professional sports ties will take part in the 2016 National Soccer Coaching Seminar, scheduled for March 4-5 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

Carlos Bocanegra, a two-time MLS Defender of the Year selection, six-year United States Men’s National Team captain and the technical director for Atlanta United FC, and Derin McMains, Notre Dame Student Welfare and Development’s director of mental conditioning and a 14-year professional baseball player and coaching veteran, will join a panel of distinguished clinicians at the annual two-day event hosted at the Loftus Sports Center at Notre Dame.

Also headlining the seminar will be Notre Dame men’s head coach and 2013 NCAA champion Bobby Clark and Fighting Irish women’s head coach Theresa Romagnolo, along with men’s soccer associate head coach BJ Craig and assistant coach Michael Casper, and women’s soccer assistant coaches Dawn Siergiej and Diego Bocanegra.

Tony Jones, athletics communications assistant at the University of Notre Dame, has been part of the Fighting Irish athletics communications team since 2012 and coordinates all media efforts for the Notre Dame softball and men’s soccer programs. A native of Jamestown, New York, Jones is a 2011 graduate of St. Bonaventure University, and prior to arriving at Notre Dame held positions at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and with the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills.
