NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Late scratches at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships made room for Notre Dame sophomore Maddie Buttinger to compete in this year’s showdown, representing the Irish in the women’s heptathlon. Buttinger, the ninth Notre Dame student-athlete to qualify for the outdoor meet this season, will spark things off this afternoon when the meet begins at Hayward Field in Eugene, Org.
